Mougins Village Côte d’Azur

Mougins is an authentic and beautiful village on a hill near Cannes, Grasse and Valbonne in Alpes Maritimes on the Côte d’Azur. Mougins is not only known for its Michelin star restaurants but also because of the large number of art galleries. From the parking spaces below (with stairs or elevator going up) you come to a viewpoint with a beautiful view over the surrounding hills.

The small streets, beautiful location, old buildings always make a visit to Mougins worthwhile.

Artistic and famous

Many famous artists including Pablo Picasso have lived in Mougins. But many other celebrities including Jean Cocteau, Yves Saint Laurant, Winston Churchill, Edith Piaf and Jacques Brel were regular visitors or had a second home in Mougins.

Museum

Museum: Musee d’Art Classique de Mougins. This museum offers a wonderful collection of Egyptian and Greek / Roman art.

Culinair Mougins

In addition to many small restaurants and brasseries, Mougins also has a few Michelin star restaurants including L’Amandier de Mougins, La Place de Mougins, Paloma and La Gaudinade.

The Gastronomic Festival Les Etoiles de Mougins takes place here every year. This festival started in 2006 in memory of Roger Vergé, founder of the famous restaurant Moulin de Mougins. (view the events calendar for current dates)

For two days, the village of Mougins transforms into a large open-air theater full of delicious aromas of food prepared by some of the biggest names in gastronomy. Over the years, the event has attracted an exceptional line-up of Michelin star chefs from around the world, as well as a wealth of up-and-coming young talent.
