Eze Village – Alpes Maritimes

Authentic village overlooking the Mediterranean See

Eze Village & Eze Bord-de-Mer

Eze is split into Eze Bord-de-Mer on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea and  Eze Village. Eze Village is a picturesque village high on the hill (400 meters) with magnificent views over the Mediterranean Sea on the Moyenne Corniche between Nice and Monaco. Wander through the narrow narrow streets with restaurants and art and visit the ruins of the castle from the 12th century that are located at the highest point. A special garden surrounds the castle.

Eze is also known by the Fragonard perfumery. The Fragonard laboratory factory for perfume, soap and cosmetics is located in Eze Village. You can get a free tour here. (Tip in Grasse is the Fragonard Museum, also nice to visit)

From Eze it is also nice to visit the village of La Turbie. Here you will not only find the statue of Emperor Augustus, but you can also enjoy a delicious meal at Café de la Fontaine – a very affordable restaurant with a Michelin star with a cozy atmosphere, good choice of wines and a varied Provençal menu.
