Club 55 is by far the most famous beach club on Plage Pampelonne in Ramatuelle on the Côte d’Azur. Favorite with so many people because of the atmosphere, great ambiance and the food. Not only do the rich & famous visit Club 55, but it is also a popular lunch spot and beach bar among the Dutch. But despite its mundane guests, the beach bar remained very common. “No customer is king here, not even kings.”
Club 55 is only open for lunch and reservations are recommended. The menu has been the same for decades with a special every day (when mussels are on the menu – really delicious). All guests are still personally welcomed by owner Patrice de Colmont and an afternoon Club 55 is unforgettable! Expensive? Depends a bit on the wines, the food itself is not special but also not expensive. At Club 55 the ‘Customer is not king but friend’ and we have had that feeling for years when we have lunch at Club 55.
